New Delhi/ Kathmandu: India has handed over 10 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Nepal to support relief and recovery efforts following devastating floods in the country.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the assistance was handed over by India’s Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, to Nepal’s Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel.
The relief material is intended to support communities affected by the floods, which caused significant disruption and damage in several parts of Nepal.
India reiterated its commitment to standing with Nepal and providing all possible assistance during the ongoing relief and recovery operations. The humanitarian support reflects the close ties and longstanding cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.
